WHAT TO EXPECT AT Our TALENT AMERICA 51st Celebration
Talent America International Championships offer contestants a weekend of activities, followed by a rehearsal for the Gala Opening Number performance (for all contestants). Saturday, June 29th is competition starts at 10AM. Sunday, June 30, Gala Red Carpet at 2:30P and Gala & Awards at 3P
JUNE 28-30, 2024 SCHEDULE OF EVENTS
Friday, June 28th: Open Jar Studios 1601 Broadway, entrance on 48th street. 11th Floor.
- Contestants can choose between a FREE RUNWAY MODELING CLASS: 5P-5:40P or
- FREE COMMERCIAL ACTING CLASS 5:45P-6:30P
If they want to take both classes, there is a $25 charge.
- Immediately after class is a rehearsal for the Gala Opening Number for all Actors and Models: 6:30-7:15P
- All Singers, Dancers, Instrumentalists, Variety and Songwriters will rehearse on Saturday, June 29th during Lunch Break.
Saturday, June 29th: Manhattan Movement & Arts Center Theater: 248 West 60th Street
- Doors Open at 9:30A
- Admission fee is $10 and requires a wrist band.
- Contestants do not pay admission fee BUT require a wristband.
- Competition begins at 10A
- Session 1 is 10A-1P
- Category Awards for the 10A-1P session starts immediately after Session 1 ends
- Judges Lunch 1P-2:20P
- Gala Opening Number rehearsal for Singers, Dancers, Instrumentalists, Variety and Songwriters is 1:30P-2:15P
- Session 2 of Competition starts at 2:30P followed by category awards
- Callbacks and Virtual Competition to follow, exact start time TBD.
Sunday, June 30th: Manhattan Movement and Arts Center Theater: 248 W. 60th st.

- Gala Opening Number Rehearsal 2P-2:30P
- Gala Red Carpet 2:30-2:50P Take your pics on the red caret
- Gala begins at 3P
- Special Guest performances and Special Awards will be awarded.
- Gala wraps approx 4:15P
2024 TALENT AMERICA COMPETITION AWARDS
Each competition routine or runway performance will be scored on a points system. Each judge scores the runway performance or performance routine. Scores are then averaged. Competitors will receive placements. First Place, Second Place, Third Place and runner-ups. If there are 10 competitors in a category, then 1st thru 5th will be awarded as well as 5 Runner-ups. Each competitor will receive a medal that corresponds to their placement that they receive. Special Award trophies will be awarded at our Gala on the final day as well. In our Model Divisions, crowns & sashes will be awarded. Scholarships, prizes and cash will be awarded at the Gala.

CATEGORY AWARDS:
Medals will be awarded
1st Place, 2nd Place, 3rd Place & Runners-Up will be awarded in Each Age Group, (i.e. 3-5, 6-8, etc.) in Each Division, (i.e. Acting, Dance, Vocal etc.) & in Each Category.
DIVISIONAL AWARDS:
Trophies will be awarded
Divisional Award is given to the competitor with the Highest Score in each Division (Acting, Dance, Print, Runway, Songwriting, Variety, & Vocal) in EACH Age Group
OVERALL AWARD:
Trophies will be awarded
Awarded to the competitor with the Highest Score in EACH Age Group regardless of Division.
PINNACLE AWARD:
Trophies will be awarded
Awarded to performers who competed in at least TWO Divisions (excluding Print) and have the highest cumulative score for those TWO Divisions.
TOP MODEL: MALE & FEMALE AWARDED
Trophies will be awarded.
Awarded to the model (in each Age Division) with the highest cumulative scores for both one Runway Model Division AND one Print Division (any categories)
MODEL OF THE YEAR: MALE & FEMALE AWARDED
Trophy, sash & crown will be awarded.
Awarded to the HIGHEST scoring TOP MODEL.
TRI-STAR AWARD:
Trophy will be awarded.
Awarded to the highest scoring contestant who entered THREE Divisions (excluding Print).
TRIPLE THREAT AWARD:
Banner will be awarded & Scholarship to upcoming events
Awarded to the highest scoring contestant in Acting, Dance & Vocal.
DUO/TRIO CHAMPIONS:
Banner will be awarded & Scholarship to upcoming events
Awarded to the Highest Scoring Duo/Trio
GROUP CHAMPIONS:
Banner will be awarded & Scholarship to upcoming events
Awarded to the Highest Scoring Group
JUDGES CHOICE AWARD:

CALL BACKS
Judges may want to meet with talent in person or on zoom after the competition or at a later date. They may just request headshot, resume and video. This is up to the judges discretion. Some judges will schedule their callbacks after all of the competitions are over, some may want to see a talent right away. One of our TA staff will be in touch with you to schedule your potential callback with the judge(s). A parent or chaperone is asked to attend the callback or zoom session with talent under age 18.
